Carbon fibre dash trim.......!

OK so an update on this, I'll be getting a set done within the next few weeks, and will have finished pics by the first week of April.

I can get the grab handles added in.

Once I've got my set back and can post up some pictures, I think I can get this for £300 including the grab handles and return postage to anyone that wants a set..

Frankly I can't wait to get them fitted! :thumbsup:
 
I wonder how hard it can be to mould some carbon to make full genuine carbon interior parts. I work for a composites company that uses carbon fibre daily - might see if I can get a cheap set of the interior to splash some moulds off and slap some prepreg in them and see what happens.
 
The front part is easy to mould (relatively) its the clips that's the difficult part

The Ali trim is all one piece and would be difficult and very costly to make purely from CF.

The trim also goes behind the stereo where it would need to be correct thickness to keep radio in correct position etc.

A CF skin is the best option.

My spare trim has arrived! I'm off to the Lake district for 2 weeks but once I'm back I'll see about getting it skinned. Fitted pics will be in their own thread half way through April I hope :)
 
Quick update on this:

Life of late has been manic, but has finally calmed down.

The parts are now in my bedroom packaged and ready to go.

Hope to have them back within 3 weeks or so.

Updates then, I can also then look at supplying it for you guys :)

good evening all, sorry coming into this a little late - - so whats the 3 pcs that you are CF laminating for £260? sounds awfully cheap - in fact i would swap my supplier if its that cheap! :thumbsup:
Are we talking about the 2 main dash pieces and the centre console?
 
It's the two big dash pieces (around radio, around gear stick), and the small piece that goes over the light control.

Prices will be 100% confirmed when I've had my stuff done.
