Carbon Fiber Roundels

Hi People

I am seriously thinking about changing all my roundals/ badges to carbon fibre :roundel: (i think i seen a member on here do it)

Q.1 Do you think they look better then OEM? my car is sterling grey/red leather/107's

I changed mine earlier in the year. A highly recommended mod (esp. On Sterling Grey). I will stick up some photos when I am reunited with my Z.

The ones on your link look the same as mine. Easy to fit barring the bonnet badge. A bit of filing is required to the back of the badge to flush fit.

It's all in the detail.
 
Several on here have done it. Mine have been on near 3 years and they draw a lot of positive comment. As Mafoo says thye suit the Sterling grey and some other colours well.

and there are a couple of shots on there, some with oem, some of mine with CF.

Buy quality though with real fabric set in clear resin.
 
I got some from an ebay seller and i really like them.. a couple of people have noticed them and think they actually came oem!

I have a set of carbon wheel center caps which were on my 108's which i need to sell (as they dont fit my aftermarket 19's)
 
how did you remove the badges? some sort of solution? and scratchs? and im keen to go the carbon fibre route

Cj i think it was some pics of your car in front of a church that gave me the inspiration.

Based on everyone's comments I think I'm gunn a go ahead and order a set. Kinda wish I didn't glue the roundels to my clear side indicators now :headbang:

Could be worse. I stuck my CF badges to amber side indicators before realising that I could get clears :headbang:
 
I've got the CF roundels all around (blue & white), they really are a nice upgrade. Plenty of info on the site about damage free removal of OEM roundels, dental floss works just fine on some, front requires threaded nut(s) removal.
Ordered all mine from ebay, very happy with the quality, but the front roundel does require significant (dremel) modification to fit. I used 3M double sided tape on all, except rear and wheel caps. It works very well.

Surprised by that mine went straight in, the VMR ones are sitting in the drawer somewhere.
 
ebay now has some more of my money. and some carbon badges are on their way to my place!! :D

guess i better search some of these damage free badge removal threads
