Carbon Fiber Rollbar Hoops

Was thinking. Definitely all that you just said … definitely a different skill set for sure . Not tried the carbon skin
But did try wrapping something quite complex at one point. And the wrap ended up in the bin 🤯
I can only imagine the skin is at LEAST as difficult.

With wrapping you have the option to heat the vinyl and stretch it to overcome awkward shapes. You can't do that when skinning and a bit of thought has to go in to where you start.
I only done 2 sets of trim and hoops as a project over the holidays a few years ago and I don't think I will be rushing to do any more. Quite stressful until the carbon cloth is in place with a coating of epoxy over it.

I believe last time I was in the don't like it camp but this time I give it the !

Having carbon skinned a few sets now, I confirm what Nictrix says, it is a very time consuming process and does require some skill and you will find issues along the way at least I did! $250 for the two hoops is cheap in my book. Here's mine that I did a while back in a somewhat different carbon pattern:

I have a spare set of trims in the store and some forged carbon fibre which I keep meaning to do, maybe one day. :)

. Nice 👍… looks good. I intend to dip the interior at some point ( if I can be arsed to strip out the bits ) forge carbon is one choice on my list ,
