Carbon fiber QUEST

just skimmed this, was going to suggest carbon mods but i saw they were already mentioned, their kits (the normal carbon ones), are great and really easy to use.

Dont dismiss them totally, like with all these things give them a call their work is 2nd to none

Yes the kits are great and are real carbon sheets, and is something i could do myself.
I would like to just wrap the parts that are just brushed aluminium, to much carbon is overkill.
A 1m x 1m kit is £75 plus i would need 2 rattle cans of clear spray to get a great finish

...and then some new parts after you cock it up.

I'm just guessing but going on somebody else on here who tried and failed. I don't think it's as easy as it looks.

Will keep you guys updated on how to apply it and what kind of problems I will turn into. I will probably buy a spare dash and center trim as I don't want to risk destorying my own parts.

Who had nearly all his interior in carbon.

Personally having tried it on my previous car its nowhere near as easy as it looks to wrap in real CF. Its certainly harder then wrapping with vinyl where you can heat and stretch it.

Personally i would just go hydrographic route... Quicker, easier and cheaper, for 99% of the same look.

your probably right aqauzi, ive looked several times over the years to do some of this and every time i get almost there and decide its probably beyond me.

personally i'm not a great fan of lots of carbon fiber everywhere. i kind of like my brushed Ali. it has its place dont get me wrong, when applied well it looks brill but if everything including some of the big bits of trim was carbon..... too much of a good thing... maybe.

if you are going to do it then do it well some of fake carbon fiber look alike stuff is shocking.
