Love carbon and the finish looks good...But for some reason it just doesn't look right...

I agree. I was wondering if there were carbon clock surrounds, but your right, they just don't look right? :?

Maybe a photo taken without a flash would show them better.

I wanted something other than silver on mine as it doesn't look right with the piano black interior.

Out of interest, where did you buy those?

Strange this has just come up, as I was thinking of changing the silver on mine to either a piano black to match the rest of the trim, or matt black to disguise it a bit.

They seem to stand out to much, best to blend in with the rest of the dash, keep with OEM.

I'll bet there well made and look good, however IMHO you can't just change the dash cowels without it being a part of a themed series of changes to the interior. If it matched the dash trim, door handles, etc. etc. then I think it could look realy neat.

If they were carbon fabric like the M Z4 dash pieces, and then do the same with door handles too... would look pretty swish I think.

Gloss probably isn't a good effect around your dials maybe?!
