Carbon Caps arrived and :o)

Yeah and make sure they pay you the postage back mate, a mate of mine had some mirror caps, same as you they were 'damaged' in transit.. When he sent them back they refused to pay the post. And that was in LA, so not much to pay!

Good luck!

Cheers for that, they seem amenable enough, just don't want to get ripped off again, I've already been ripped off by a company called Word Car Fans in the states, when I ordered some carbon covers and they never sent them after charging the credit card, e-mailed them time after time and they never replied :x

Quite like their engine covers...

They do a nice range of stuff, I don't know of they source the BMW parts cheaply then apply the carbon weave, a guy on ZPost has their E89 carbon roll covers which look good, just a shame if damaged stuff is being sent out.

Thanks Mark, faulty cap has been posted back to them, I'm a bit peeved though that they wanted me to pay the difference between standard postage 6 to 8 weeks :o and priority mail 4 to 6 days for sending the replacement :x . I did say to them its cost me to send it back to them through no fault of mine and ontop they wanted me to pay extra for speedier delivery which is what I paid for originally. They would pay the least postage but I'm not waiting upto 8 weeks

Replacement drivers side cap arrived today and glad to say this time its perfect so EVENTUALLY I now have a spot on set :) Still peeved that its cost me nearly 40 quid extra due to costing 18 quid to send the faulty one back and Tekarbon wanted an extra 20 quid to upgrade the return postage from standard to priority, standard postage takes 6 to 8 weeks from USA as opposed to priority which takes 8 days or so. If you do order from this company bear in mind depending on the size of the parcel that if the goods are faulty and need returning its going to be costly

Will get some pics up once they're fitted :)

Think your experience will put people off.....customer service is important and they sound like tossers.

Glad you got it sorted in the end though, but you should'nt have had to pay extra and they shouldn't have sent faulty stuff in the first place.

Spot on Kevin, I wasn't really happy as I don't believe the faulty cap was transit damage which is what they said it was from the photo I mailed to them. There was no surface damage at all and the box was undamaged so I think it was a manufacturing fault which I spotted as soon as I unwrapped it. I think they thought we will send it anyways and hope I wouldn't notice  Only upside is the caps are genuine BMW parts which have been carbon wrapped so the fit should be perfect. When I had the Performance carbon caps on the 1er they were very thin and weren't a 100% perfect fit as they weren't the factory parts.
