carbon bonnet badge doesn't fit.

remember reading about this before on here.

basically, bought a set on ebay which included a 73mm bonnet badge. iirc the standard badge is 70mm so the ebay special needs modifying in some way to fit.

someone said something about cutting/dremeling something, but i'm not sure if they meant the badge, or the slight bump in the bumper behind the badge which causes it to sit funny.

any ideas? cheers.

I bought a similar one as the original was damaged. Mine sits ok but I have had to use number plate double sided to secure it as the lugs were too short to use a hard fixed method. Not sure how long its going to stay put but the tape is generally pretty good.

Dremel either site of the badge untill the top and bottom sit flush against the bumper.

that's exactly what i done with this one although it was that foam sticky tape stuff so is quite thin. maybe if i double it up it may sit better?

if not, i guess it's dremel to the bumper time

I bought a role of commercial number plate tape from an Auto factors. Not only was it much cheaper but it does seem to be 'the business'
I didn't need the dremel treatment thankfully

Here you go... Here's where i did mine... Cant tell when fitted.

Also I stuck it with black adhesive silicone not tape... Fills the gaps better.

i think i have some proper number plate pads anyway so may give that a go before getting the power tools out
