Carbon black paintwork

Hi all,

Bought my MC last October and its been tucked up in the garage since, only used it a few times to protect it as it's in lovely condition with 22k miles. It has always been garaged and looked after, but it has paint swirls and some bigger surface scratches that I'd like to have a go at, or get them sorted professionally.

However, with it being black I'm quite nervous of tackling it. I did my Z3MR using meguirs and farecla products, but it was silver and was very forgiving of my inexperience. Any thoughts as to how best to proceed? If I had the money I'd go to Off Your Marks for the work to be done as they seem very highly regarded.

Advice appreciated, cheers, Ian

I haven't used this myself as my car's silver, but Poorboy's Black Hole could be just the ticket - it goes on between polish and wax and covers up all manner of sins... use this until you have the cash for a full paint correction. At least that would be my approach.
