Carbon Badges

Hi guys,

I have a 2005 2.5 and have been looking for full set of carbon badges but can't find ones that will fit anywhere.

Anyone got any? If so where from?

Thanks in advance

I got some from e.bay, the boot one fitted ok but the two side ones on the repeaters had to be made to fit. Finding one the exact size for the front was impossible so I ended up painting and lacquering the original. The 45mm one I bought for the steering wheel fit ok.

There are a few shots here:

Sounds like a little hassle :/ how did you have to adapt the side repeaters? Would you be willing to do a bonnet one for me for some ££?

How do these rank against //M badges?

Surely carbon badges are up there on the list? In my opinion... :poke:

Bought a cheap carbon bonnet badge (blue/white) but it has faded over the two years I have had it fitted
Just about to replace it again....... front bonnet badge is around 70mm diameter size

I had carbon badges on my 3 and 6-series, but they were already on there. Leaving my Zed alone as it is black and I like the little flash of colour from the BMW badge!

I had to chop off the location pins as they didn't line up with the holes, I used number plate tape to stick them on with and they're pretty solid. If I ever want them off again a bit of thin string behind the badge will "saw" through the tape.

Yeah, no probs with painting your o/e one black - as long as it's in decent condition it'll paint up fine, I use black vinyl dye and lacquer over it. Send me a PM if you want it doing and I'll let you have my address to send it to.

Where did you get the blacked out Z4 emblem? It looks fantastic!!!

It's the original chrome one I made black using the method tried and tested on my old Mazda chrome plastic badges - it seems to work so I did the Z4 emblem the same way - so far so good but I'm actually toying with the idea of removing it altogether to give a cleaner look to the rear because I'm contemplating a rear spoiler and think it would look better without the Z4 badge.
