carbon air box query

probably been asked and answered before, but the aftermarket carbon airboxes from evolve and the like are eye wateringly expensive, i know there is a load of r and d and dyno testing etc etc but is it possible to order the oem airbox from the m3 csl and if so how much is it or is there a lot of setting up work to make it run properly ?, saw the video posted on here of the imola csl , it did sound awesome !

The OEM airbox will probably cost you more than an aftermarket one, plus you'd still have to pay for the alpha-n tuning, etc.

OEM CSL box if you can get one is around 4/4.5k. As said you will then need either the alpha-n tune or integrate the MAP sensor that the OEM csl ecu uses (which I don't think is possible with our ecus).
I have the CA version and worth it almost for the noise alone IMO. You get a few more ponies as well

holy sh*t !!! thats a load of money , cant see how they justify that, thats over half way to a supercharger surely, is it Just a carbon box ?

When you consider that oem csl door cards are £5k+vat each it doesn't seem such bad value!
