Car won't start

My 2003 Z4 won't start. For the last few days, it has struggled to turn over and would just about start but today it wouldn't turn over at all and not even a click. The battery is quite new, I've charged and tested it and all seems fine, all electrics are working ok. I'm wondering if it's a starter motor problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like the problem some members have had with the ignition switch - try a forum search. From memory its a cheap fix and a good place to start if the battery is good. Not happened to me (yet!).

Do all the lights come on the dash as they should when you turn it to position 3? Can you measure battery volts when trying to start?

OP, what you describe is what I had when my starter motor failed.

Have you tried giving the SM a tap?

Or with ignition off, stick it in gear and rock it a bit - forward/back, not side to side :D. Then try it
(or see if it will bump start)

Is that to try and move the starter motor gear? Problem is it's not engaged without the solenoid pulled in!

Managed to bump start the car and drive it to a garage where they confirmed a knackered starter motor. Thanks for all the replies
