Car tax Q....

Probably a stupid question but can't seen to find the answer anywhere...
If I wanted to tax my car for just a month is this possible or do you still have to commit to 6 or 12 months?

From what I can understand, you could tax it on a monthly direct debit and then cancel it after a month.

If you got into the second month before you cancelled, you would lose the full months premium.

Kind of what I thought but wasn't sure if your entering into a contract as such for 6 or 12 months and your legally obliged to pay the full amount for those periods

I don't think so but looking online there is nothing to confirm any different.
