So I need a new stereo for my business OEM
Need a suggestion
What features in the car will be messed with for the switch out
I know the clock reset thing will go away
What other function does the car use the stereo electricity or intelligence for
Anybody

Do you have the basic head unit? The business cd?
If yours is the sat nav version, I dont have knowledge of that one.

I replaced mine a while ago and don't regret it.
The cars time is still setup on the main instrument cluster as per normal. I think the new radio time is separate but can't remember.

I had to get a harness for the steering wheel controls but apart from that it was fine.

The only other feature that I can think of that I lost was the auto volume control where it adjusts according to your speed.

Ooh.
Good point on the slow down volume adjust
I was suspicious of like the alarm system or the light dimming
I do have the OEM business CD
Any suggestions on best stereo

Does such a thing exist, i.e. convert a non-controls steering wheel to a steering wheel with controls?

The harness I got was to convert a mfsw to an after market HU.
I'm sure there is the information on this forum to convert a non mfsw to a mfsw.
