Hey guys I may be selling my car in Easter and need some help pricing, I've used the sites but I feel they dont give a fair reflection on the work (mods) on the car. I know you can't really expect to add on too much from mods but well.. Anyway

It's a 53 plate 3.0 with 66,000 miles sapphire black roadster with satnav FSH

Extras are;

cruise control
MFSW
Heated electric seats
All the other 3.0 stuff

Mods
19" CSL reps staggered deep dish new tyres
//M front bumper
Aero side skirts
Strut brace OEM
And my personal favourite d2 8pot 356mm front brakes

Any help/advice would be appreciated

IMO you would get more money demodding it first.... As generally mods won't increase the value of a car.

Yep, especially the brakes. And replica wheels aren't going to increase the value by hardly anything, if at all.

I know what your saying, its crossed my mind but it's hard work and I'd like to think that someone on here might like the work carried out

Brakes can cause massive headaches with insurance, my company wont touch cars with modified brakes.

IMO you will be lucky to get 20% of the mods value added to the cars value

If it were me Id remove the brakes and the strut brace.

You need to think also about what image it portrays to the potential buyer. I would be put off buying a modified car because I would think that a car with those sort of mods would be driven more enthusiastically.

Well I might start advertising on here, i'm in no rush and someone might what this beauty! Otherswise theres gonna quite alot in the buy and sell section

As for the driven enthusiastically bit, I just think people are unrealistic or wasting their car if they don't drive a 3.0 sports car enthusiastically

I think the mods possibly just reduce the target audience that would buy the car, but there will be some people that appreciate them and see them as adding value. The csl wheels do look great though!

I agree. you would get more for the car if you sold the mods separately. Make sure you pm me with prices if you do buddy i love those wheels lol. :thumbsup:

Hate to say it but when looking for my car I avoided anything that was modified in any way, simply because it lowers the value of the car.

But if its an OEM mod then that is fine, such as retro fit cruise control etc.

Best to make it original as you will appeal to everyone then, but from the pic in your signature it looks fantastic!

Good luck with the sale :thumbsup:

If you'd like a buyer for the M bumper, I'm willing to swap for a sapphire black standard bumper :thumbsup:

How much for the brakes? :evil:

Guys it looks like the mods will come off, probably on an OEM swap basis.. I've loved every minute of this site and will probably continue to use it but I just need to sway to either more seats (m3) or more power etc (911).
It's a long time till Easter but I can't see much changing my mind
