Thanks both, I will be making significant reduction in asking price when I work out how to alter original post.

Click on the pencil 'edit post' symbol - left most symbol on the top right of the post

Thanks Marlon, now done,
I am not in a rush to sell, so will see what happens, but she will go in the next couple of months whatever.

What’s the annual road tax on this please?

What with it being an Auto?

My other half really likes the way it looks, so we’re considering a long trip to view.... but we’d need to talk ‘ballpark’ price first as it’s too rich for me currently even at your reduced price.

Many thanks.

12 months road tax is £315.
I am willing to talk ball park. Where would you be coming from please?
Not sure if we have to do it within the thread or by pm.
Mods can you help please.

Bristol!

But happy to travel for an immaculate example!

I’ll try and PM you my contact details.

We encourage all negotiations take place on the sales thread for transparency.

Well sold and I hope True-Blue will be staying around on the forum

I will be, but John chose to sell it to the dealer.

Never mind, looking for a Coupe now as the Mrs has given in after seeing how gorgeous they are :D

It’s all good, we wanted to think about it overnight... and John decided overnight to sell it to the dealer.. no hard feelings.

Prior to True-Blue contacting me I had been given a time limited offer for the car by a dealer in classic cars. I made True-Blue aware of that from the outset. He didn’t know what the offer was, but it was not significantly different to the provisional price TB and I settled on.

We had a good discussion and TB (and Mrs TB) wanted to sleep on a final decision to buy and in that event, would have put down a holding deposit. The main difficulty for both of us was TB’s hectic schedule, as we left the discussion overnight he could not have got to me until after the dealers offer had expired.

If I had waited upon TB to get to me I would have lost both the dealers offer and if TB had decided not to purchase my car, that sale too.

I made the decision to tell TB that I was going to take the dealers offer. We did part amicably as TB’s post shows. I know he wanted a Coupe really (who wouldn’t) and now Mrs TB has come around to that view I feel when we all look back and the decision made we will all feel it was the best one for all of us.

Just thought a full, open and honest account would give clarity.
