Car not starting

Been off the road over winter, battery went flat, replaced with a new battery which also went flat then fully charged and kept on a trickle charger. Took car for MOT last week, drove perfectly but no Dash lights (indicators, full beam, etc) drove another 40 miles or so and been perfect. Parked up for a few hours went to lock car and close windows, pass window went up not problem but drivers wouldn't respond, went to start engine and now won't start. Battery is solid. Very strong crank but not firing. Checked fuses under bonnet, replaced fuel pump relay, fuel getting to rail, 12v at coils but no spark. I've read up it can be due to the immobiliser disconnecting? Ordered a Foxwell NT510 to re-sync, fault codes show '2F44 DME : EWS Preventing Manipulation' I've followed the advice in the Foxwell to re-sync but keep getting an error message saying there is no connection, has anyone had anything similar or know what I might be missing?

I wonder if it's a general (and not uncommon) kBus problem that's preventing the scanner talking to things as well as stopping the DME talking to the EWS?

The EWS has a dedicated communication channel with the DME, it doesn't rely on the kbus.

However, that lack of dash lights sounds a lot like kbus issues. I had similar on my r53 mini with the tell-tale lights playing up. The solution was to unplug parts from that kbus until the diagnostic started working, and then I worked out what was faulty, and replaced it.

Any ideas what I'm looking at for kbus? Had a look behind fuses box, unplugged all connectors the replugged, all looking good, there is two purple relays on bulkhead? Are they related to kbus?

Physical locations will be different to the E46, but it explains the system well

Dismantling that connector is a pain. I found it easier to unplug the components from their respective modules, rather than from that bus bar

Those two relays are for the roof operation

Can the scanner connect to all the other modules? If so, a little less likely to be kbus.
Sounds daft but try disconnecting the battery for five minutes.
A friend jump started his car after the battery died and it caused similar issues.
Disconnected the battery for a while and everything reset itself
