Car memory failed

Going to run it past BMW in the morning and see what they say.

Had the car parked on the drive and went inside for about 10 minutes.

Went to go out again and the clock had reset to --:--and all the MPG statistics etc. were reset to 0 including trip meter.

It has not occurred since.

Wondering if it is a one off or something else being intermittent.

Any experiences?

Check your battery terminals aren't loose and your battery isn't in its way out!

Wouldn't that have posed an issue when starting the car next?

BMW also think it may possibly be the battery so will look at this.

A loss of power is the only thing that would reset all of those things at the same time. If your connections are fine than could well be the battery.

It's on the to-do list for the weekend, will report back.

Connections were fine so stuck the battery on charge for the afternoon and will just monitor for any further issues.
