The Black Swan pub will be having their monthly classic car and bike meet that we often tag along to on Sunday. As we always seem to end up in the field I'll be watching the weather for the rest of the week, and as it's an outdoor venue it only works if it is dry on the day.

Full details are The Black Swan, Old Lane, Ockham, Surrey. KT11 1NG. Phone: 01932 862364. (Old Lane is a turning off the slip-road onto the Southbound A3 just after J10 of the M25). They open at 08.30 for breakfast, bacon rolls, tea and coffee so any time after that works fine and entry is free, although they often take voluntary charity donations.

We usually meet up at Ockham Bites (KT11 1NA) at the beginning of Old Lane around 08.00 for a coffee, bacon butty, etc. to avoid the potentially long catering queues at the Black Swan. Even if going later it's probably still worth a stop at Ockham Bites anyway.

I'm not sure if I'll be going but thought a reminder may be useful.
 
I’ll be there as usual with some of the marshals team. We will be holding a minute silence as it’s Remembrance Sunday. I don’t know how wet the field will be.
 
I might go, but possibly a bit earlier and straight there and see if can get parked on the tarmac and avoid the boggy field
 
If it helps at all there are a couple of E30 owners (M3 & 325i) that I've chatted to a few times who are always on the tarmac and they tend to aim to get to the Black Swan by 7.45.

The downside is Ockham Bites don't open until 8, but then again if you are that early you might get near the front of the Black Swan catering queue!

As it has been dry for a few days, I've always ended up in the field and I'm not a fan of early mornings I'm probably going to try the opposite approach and arrive nearer to 9.
 
Evening all, I’ll be up for this one .. being a fair weather driver and all ;)

If I can get up early enough I’ll try and do earlier than normal arrival to avoid the possibility of mud
 
Great morning of a superb variety of cars and some motorcycles. Not many Zed’s albeit the sun shone eventually and I enjoyed a roof down drive home.
