Brace yourselfs.........renewal just dropped through the letter box in 2009 it was £350 nothings changed just that im two years wiser , this years quote is £608 !!!! thats locked up in a garage, 1000 miles a year , 14 years no claims ,only social and domestic , cancelled the policy now looking around again

I've had a barney with my insurers today, changing from a Porsche Boxster to a z4 (supposedly 6 new groups lower) and they've increased my premium by 25%. Coincidently the same amount as the cancellation penalty !

Never mind, pay up this time, see out the rest of the term and shop around next year

Try www.classicline.co.uk they should be able to give you a good price. It does seem an ///M is cheaper to insure with them than a 2.5si though.

Premiums seem to have shot up in recent months, mine went up by £150 at renewal (Swift) in December. Managed to knock it back by £100 by shopping around (Privilege).

it must be the post code areas down here in sunny (well sometimes) devon age 50 fully comp protected 10,000 miles a year £224 per year :driving:

If car crime/claims in your area increase, your premium is likely to increase. Sad but true, regardless of how careful you are :headbang:

Got it down to £400 still not happy tho ..............i hate insurance companys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! have you seen how much interest they charge for monthly payments !no points ,no accidents for 20 years just used for weekends with a £500 excess what is the point !!!!!!!! at least dick terpin wore a mask !

My renewal has gone down the past 2 years now.
31 years old, 8 years NCB, 5k a year with a 3.0i for £343. I was well chuffed and surprised! :driving:

I think living in a good postcode in Cornwall helps. Thats with Admiral.

When I moved from Cornwall to Wiltshire it increase by around 100-150 which is almost 25% increase , and am in the a small village in the Cotswolds! :o honestly they can almost write there own Chq's!!! these companies :x

I was TQ4 and moved to W Sussex ...went up one band :(

Looking to renew mine soon.
Paid £902 with Admiral last year. Will need to see my renewal quote, but comparison sites suggest ~£750 this year (29, 3.0 'vert, London, garaged, 11 yrs NCB). Looking forward to the negotiations.

Bizzarely, for me; RS4 'vert is only £600 but an RS4 'loon is £850. An e89 M3 is £700. A Maserati 4200 is £700. A BMW 645 is £650.
Best of all...

Aston Martin Vanquish - £680.

No sense. :headbang:

Si

(Just had a quote from BMW for the Z - £1690. No thanks...)
