My Wife and i have a multi car insurance policy through Admiral and its renewal time again. The renewal quote was £940 or there abouts for both of us on both cars, which with out me looking for both our incurance certificates i knew was ALOT more than last years. :x

So a quick check on Compare the Market (2 indiviual policys), i managed to get a grand total for both cars at £590 (fully comp / protected) total AND a free meerkat toy lol

And guess who with.............

ADMIRAL! :headbang:

The even more annoying thing is......... this happened last year.
I ended up calling Admiral last year moaning and getting them to sort it,
which is what ill be doing latter this afternoon. :fuelfire:

I'm really not convinced by these multi car policies. When ever I've gone for a quote they have always been more expensive than finding two separate policies.

Some TV ADVERTISEMENTS will tell you their company is better as there not on Price Comparison websites, my advice is to use them still for a 'Price Comparison'

It annoys me that they don't give you the best deal, and a lot of people still in this day and age can't use or know much about the Internet.

These policies are really a multi driver ones, not multi car.

I tried admiral for a quote, and was told since I'm the only driver, I can't have multi cars!

:wall:

My wife and i each drive each others cars on a regulare bases

There website says......
Two or more cars in your household? Don't pay a penny more for insurance than you need to! Make sure you save with our Multi Car Insurance.

This is not just about Multi Car policy's, this is about your annual policy quote after 12 months.

Why sell me a policy at price A. When I can find the same company selling insurance at price B. (1 third cheaper)

How does it work with your NCB?

If you get two separate policies can you only apply the bonus to one of them?

I'm in the market for a little jeep so will be going down this route in the next month or so.

If you try really hard, some have reported companies will mirror your NCB across both cars. I've never been successful in this though.

You can move your NCB to another car and then you start again with the original. This is what I ended up doing giving me the biggest discount on the most expensive car.

Admiral have mirrored my NCB across the Zed and my mx5. For reference, both my other half and I are insured on both cars.

The reason why I stuck with them was that I was changing cars quite often and they keep the fees low when making amendments.

Now that the mx has sold I think that leaves me at 700ish for just the Zed. That's a good 200 quid more expensive than everyone else so think its time to cancel and go elsewhere!
