Car insurance HELP!!!!

Im going down the road of getting a specialist modded car insurer to actually come out to me and 'inspect' my car for a full valuation on the Marmite Machine as it'll be uninsurable for 99.9% of companies.

Had the same experience of LV.
Got a decent renewal price through from them, and then thought I'd tell them about the exhaust. Got told they wouldn't insure it with any mods.
Finally got a similar price for the same cover by spending 2 days going through all the comparison/specialist quotes. Some of the comparison ones looked good until you clicked through and verified all the info, and then the final price would change!

Worth trying classic line as well but might depend on how much mileage you do a year.
Brentacre. They deal with modified cars and won't have an issue.
You agree a power limit and usually can update cosmetic mods FOC throughout the year.
Another thing is to go direct to the insurance company after using a price comparison site to make a short list. You'll save yourself a little more then.

Putting the car in a garage will increase your premium as there are people stupid enough to claim against their own insurance company for driving into their own garage.
Just updated my insurance was a bit naughty as I hadn't done it!! £30 extra a year
