Car in limp mode, codes P1632 and P1635

Drove my car home last night from the airport after it sat for a week. It started and drove fine. When I started it up this morning to go to the office, it cranked, but immediately went into limp mode and threw two codes: P1632 and P1635.

I looked both up and they seem to indicate a problem with the throttle body.

I would appreciate any advice from those of you that have dealt with this problem. I just walked in the office and plan on diagnosing the car as soon as I get home.

It's a 2005 3.0i.

I just did a Google search with both fault codes and theres quite a bit with advice on fixes and things to check so perhaps worth a try before spending money.

I suspect I've been reading the same pages you have. I've had my car 7 months and don't know much about working on it.....yet. I was hoping owners who have dealt with this issue could offer suggestions that worked for them.

I'm going to try disconnecting the battery and reset the TPS as well as visually inspect the rubber hoses around the throttle body.

I have not......I just started reading about DISA valve last week. I'll add it to the things I need to check.

Quick Update: the TPS reset got the car out of limp mode. I look it for a quick drive and it drives fine. However, it's still throwing the P1632 code. I was going to start work under the hood when the weather turned sour. :headbang:

I'll keep working tomorrow.

My understanding was that resetting the computer (Unplugging the battery) would reset the throttle sequence. Is that not the case?

So resetting the throttle seemed to correct the issue.

After pulling the battery, the car left limp mode. I took it on a 30 minute drive and the codes cleared as well. I'll be keeping an eye on it for the next few weeks just to be sure.

I went ahead an ordered a DISA valve upgrade, so I'll be doing that in the next few weeks.
