So three years ago we had an RX8 which after a pretty bad winter left my wife to scared to drive it.. It was very twitchy on wet roads and impossible with frost, ice or snow, and to be fair we did have a couple of close calls. So okay I gave in and we bought a new Kuga AWD , and to be fair it’s a nice box to drive around in.. the dogs fit in the back and my wife feels safe again. This year we swapped it for a new one.. But with itchy feet it was done on the understanding that I would get a weekend car, hence 3 months ago I bought a 53 plate Z4 3.0. Roadster And we have managed a couple of trips away into the Dales and the Peak district. Love, love, Love the Zed. :D

My wife was due to visit her mother this week for a few days a 4 hour drive to Norfolk and as she would be gone 4 days and things are quiet around here and the weather is pretty dry, although they seemed to be forecasting rain hail frost etc everywhere else in the country I thought it would be a great chance to give the Zed a good clean/polish and maybe a run out. :D

Sunday evening the wife announces “I think I will take the BMW tomorrow“. I point out the forecast for the week, Snow, Rain, Frost, Hail, Flash Floods., more Snow “Oh don’t worry I’ll be okay”. So Monday morning I wave goodbye to the Zed and the wife. Yesterday I get a phone call saying she took her mother down to visit her Brother, the other side of the M4, a 200 mile round trip, she must have had to shoehorn her mother into the car.. While she is on the phone her mothers shouting in the background “we were doing a 104” I am hoping it was Kilometres.

Today I get a text:- “just washed Betty it’s not perfect but she looks cleaner.” who’s Betty I text back, already knowing what the answers going to be. “The Z4 silly she texts back”

Where did it all go wrong.. :tumbleweed:

I take the dogs out this afternoon on the muddiest walk I could find and then load them into the back of the Kuga, she can wash that when she gets home..!!
