Where did you read that info, is it a good source. Im pissed ,as when i was phoning round dealers for the best deal and quickest time, was told start to middle of sept no problem. Then just like that over the weekend the dealer says the system is saying Dec, but they think its a mistake so are finding out from BMW.

Had a look there,can't remember where I read it,may have been straight 6 or BMW car mag. Was also told by my dealer in April.i posted on here telling people that production of 35is was stopping due to poor sales,other people could tell me that too so there must be some foundation to it. You can't get a delivery date for new builds until you press the order button.they can give eta but that's all. Email bmw direct,sure they will get back to you. :thumbsup:

Been waiting for 3 days for BMW to get back to me.

The dealer's been trying to get info for a week and a half.

So I emailed the head of BMW Communications yesterday and he said he'd get straight onto it.

Will let you know If I hear anything official from anyone.

My order was placed 6th June - car was supposed to be delivered in September.

FFS - It's like dealing with SKY customer service not BM fcuking W !!!!!!
 
From Dealer;

"BMW are due to receive some extra production from the factory which we will hear about tomorrow. Once this has been received BMW have advised that your vehicle should come forward in production again and will hopefully show a much more acceptable delivery date"

Car back in production should have it by the end of September. Apparently !

Can't help but feel I'm going to regret not cancelling - but will keep on top of dealer with weekly updates !
 
My Dealer emailed me this morning to say, he has spoken to BMW and they have a production slot for september for my car. So fingers crossed it stays.

Picking up 27th - Earliest I can make it.

Great News. Build began on mine 1st september and dealer reckons will be with them the end of september. I'm hoping it will be early, as we are meant to be having a great sunny september.

does anyone know how long from build to dealer takes

Happy days indeed. I've had my 35is for a couple of weeks now. Absolutely love it.

That's what my dealer said last week - not sure when you last checked but it seems to change pretty quickly (I think someone's not updating the databases correctly ;))
 
Took nearly 4 weeks for mine to arrive at dealers. I guess they probably batch them up on train to get them to the port, then on to road transporters, ferry, Doncaster (BMW distribution point), then finally to the relevant dealer

Ours was built on 25th August, at the docks in Belgium on Monday and we are picking up next week. We live near Southampton which is where the ship docks so maybe that helps. Going in to finalise the paperwork tomorrow and wondering whether the dealer actually has it yet?
 
Wahooooo Dealer called today, car has arrived going thru PDI tomo or friday. Can collect Monday (but im trying to squeeze them to collect sunday morning.)

Not bad 10 days from build to dealer

Mine was still in Belgium on the Wednesday lunchtime and was ready for me to pick up on Thursday lunchtime. If you push they will get it done.
