Car guy in Devon

I thought I would introduce myself as I have been lurking for a while .I love cars & anything to do with their design , their smell , their sound & the way they drive .i have owned over 40 & I have liked the E85 for a few years. I love convertibles but I loved the look of the coupe . So was unsure what to do . The 3.0si engine is a peach and I also loved the combination of grey exterior with red sport seats , I dismissed the ‘//M’ cars as I have had a few and still have an E46 M3 Silverstone Edition.
Then 2 weeks ago a 2.5si sport came up for sale in my choice of colour . I went to view it to confirm my love of the colour/trim & to dismiss the less powerful 2.5si engine even though they are a couple of grand cheaper.
That did not go as I expected . I loved the way it drove so I bought it. Here are the pics from the day I bought it before I start improve it a little .

Gave her her first proper wash/wax today . Plus fitted zhp gearknob & replacement front grills with grey inserts . Off to see Number5 tomorrow in Bristol to have the roof pump relocated as a precaution.

Yeah I picked the grey grills up from a forum member . I also removed the black number plate surround as I think it looks neater without it

One of my fog lights was massively corroded as they all are. So I bought a Magneti Marelli 710305079001 Fog Light on Amazon for £70. The parts of the BMW one which are alloy & corrode are made from plastic in the Magneti one so no corrosion

Yeah - surprising thing is that it was still working . It was dated 2006 do it was the original . The other one had been replaced in 2013

Quick update . Fitted a stubby aerial , continuing the cleaning - I bought off a girl into horses & I assume she went to dusty yards with the roof down . Currently looking into exhaust tips and putting quite a few miles on her
