When I was searching for a new car, I got in touch with a nice gentleman about a 911 he was selling, needles to say i didn't get it and decided on the Z4. While I'm up in Aberdeen he offered to show me his collection of cars. We visited his house last night and I can honestly say I almost weed...

Classic Porsche Targa - used to be his grandfathers
Db6 volante s (from the 60's) - his fathers
Vanquish S (I think 2012 model) - he started this up, it was pretty hard to contain my excitement

His mother has a z4m roadster, and I think he said he farther joined this forum at some point.

It was the best garage I have ever seen!

I just wanted to share this experience with you as it shows there are still plenty of hospitable people around when it comes to discussing cars!

This what his fathers was like (not the exact one, didn't want to take pics in a garage that wouldn't show off their true beauty).

Fantastic. Very nice of him to offer to show you the cars a bit like a free theme park for a car enthusiast.

Obviously the owners of such cars get pleasure just from owning and driving them but it's great when they realise us mere mortals will probably never get to own them and share. I have a friend who buys quite a lot of what most of us would call dream cars, he loves to share the experience of them and even lets me drive most of them.

Thanks for that marksdesigns... I had a feeling I may get it. I didn't want to start taking pics in case he thought I was casing the joint haha, and also, my iPhone doesn't really have a wide angle.

Since you didn't take any pics (shame on you) here's a link to the thread i started showing the cars my friend has bought since last summer. Most have probably seen it already. The GT3 will be going soon as something else is on it's way. An M135i is also on the way as a run around.
