Car Cleaning Cock-ups. What's yours?

Its not mine, honest, but many years ago, one the older boys got an AP50 just before leaving school. He was cool, uber cool in fact. However, he would not stop polishing his red pride and joy and ended up with an almost pink AP50! Not so cool then.

not a cleaning cock up ..... but a cock up that caused some serious cleaning ........

Was spray painting my craden gates, being smart I decided to move the Zed a long way down the road ......... who new spray paint could get that far ........... entire car felt like sandpaper :D

Full detail was the only answer :D

Again not a cleaning cock but boy did it need cleaning
Wife went paint shopping in brand new toyota hilux .
Cleverly put 5ltr of white gloss on front seat .
Set of ,braked hard paint hit dash.
Drove rest of way home and pulled up on drive with gloss coming out of passenger door.
Car needed countless new trim and plastics ,new carpets .
all in all a £4000 tin of paint

Not mine honest,but....
Many years ago my Dad had to use his car in the depths of winter.Due to the iced up windows he got his trusty tin of deicer from the garage sprayed the windows and set off.
It was the following morning when he discovered that the spray he used was infact grey primer.
It took a lot of brillo pads to get the windows and bodywork clean again.
Even to this day I can't believe he didn't spot it when he was driving.......

only last weekend I made a school boy error. I was cleaning the wheels by removing them, I jacked up the rear near side and whilst taking the wheel off, the car rolled, tipping over on the jack and collapsing on the wheel that I was removing

I nearly lost my hand between the wheel and the wheel arch, fortunately the car collapsed back onto the jack that had tipped over

on inspection on harm was done, but next time I must remember to put the handbrake on lol, its an habit of mine to leave the car in park without the handbrake on

Not car cleaning as such, but I stupidly put a ridiculous tribal sticker on the rear window of my corsa (first car). A little while later I decided I wanted to remove it and have a nice clear rear window.

The way I chose to remove it? With a sharp knife of course. Scratched glass :(
