Got my car back from the garage on Saturday after a water pump failure had kept it off the road the last 10 days

To celebrate having it back I have treated it to a 5 hour deep clean today including clean, clay bar, Polish and wax, added my MM exhaust tips bought the other week and also treated the leather to some Gliptones cleaner and conditioner.

Couple of pics below:

Looks very clean :]
What sort of mileage did the water pump go ?
would you happen to know if it had plastic blades or metal by any chance ?

Water pump went at pretty much dead on 77k. I've done a lot of research over the past couple of weeks and it seems they are likely to go between 70k - 100k although not sure what happened to mine. Unsure of the blades, but it's just the oem part so whatever that has :)

Looks great  I like the splitter too, do you find it bottoms out much?

Haven't had it bottom out once yet and have been over plenty of pretty big speed pumps. Very surprising actually.

Looks great, is the splitter just attached with self tappers and / or tigerseal?
+1 is it a Seat one I've got one sitting in my garage now for about 3 months should put it on

Thanks. I'm not sure, I bought it with it on so unsure how it was attached

Do it! I love the look of it and no downsides so far with regards to speed bumps etc

My 3.0si is on H&Rs about 35 mm drop so i'm thinking I may get some speed bump issues

ive got a skoda fabia splitter on mine, same as what they use on the clio sports.

far cheaper than the seat one, seat caught on to them being popular and hiked the price up

im lowered on fk springs and very rarely catch it.

Gav, that look really low! The spitter seems like a good fit. Was it easy to fit?

I fitted the LCR splitter when i owned Jonnyb's car... In fact i think i did all the mods on it as it was standard when i bought it.

The LCR spoiler is pretty easy to fit.....But needs trimming at the wheel wells.

Its held on the bottom of the bumper with body bolts.. Its very secure and wont be falling off any time soon.
