Mine - quite simply advertising a car as something it is not - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274740184163?hash=item3ff7ca8463:g:wQ0AAOSwJHxgtxle

This is not an LE - they only came in red / white / black so why try to make someone think they are getting something they are not and worse still this has gone up £1k in day, was £9k yesterday

Report it to eBay if it's false representation

They won't do anything - he pays his fees, the garage may get a shock if they sell it and 3 months later someone demand their money back :D

Temperature has increased and the weather is better, surprised it only went up by £1k.

Just asked our dog, but to be fair she doesn't really pay any attention to adverts for cars.

Or have I misread the title. :D

Anyone considering paying £10k for that car won't have the faculties to know (or care ) if its a LE or not
Woeful build quality , handling to match a Grimbsy trawler & a 180bhp 4 cyl 2.0 that struggles to take the skin off a rice pudding

Trust me there are loads out there - just look at the zed adverts stating Msport and then when you look they are an SE (nothing wrong with an SE by the way) - it just frustrates me that it looks like people are trying to sell. quicker or at a higher price to someone who is not doing there homework

The build quality is actually pretty good on those, I have had two, however, the 2.0l is actually a 2.2 and its not the quickest or most economical - the car is about cruising not racing for certain

I too was wooed once by the looks of the Brera & that was the 2.2 jts , lovely cabin let down by poor build ( by comparsion to Germanic standards) .
To drive it never felt anything other than lethargic & coupled with random fault lights that came & went i had zero confidence or desire to drive it any further than i was capable of walking home :( it was back on AT as soon as i received the logbook in my name , total Alfa ownership was around 3 weeks & i waved it off with a smile & a sense of relief :P

I thought you hadn't reached motoring nirvana until you've owned an Alfa :?

I've never owned one but have looked in the past. The older Spiders from the 50s/60s are fetching silly money now for a sorted car but the latter 90s cars are still reasonably in budget

Always liked the look of them but no idea how they actually drive.

Me too (I think JC has a lot to do with that though). I have also thought many times about an Alfa (looked seriously at a 164 once and an ALfasud when I was 18) but for exactly the reasons Mr Wilks has said, I've never had the nerve. The '80s and '90s Spiders look like they were made by BL to me :o

Yes I can see where you're coming from, I think iffy reliability and electrical gremlins are what appear to put most off, unsure how much of it is justified having not owned one but they do have a certain charm and and looks that appeal to me.

A chap at work owned a GTV in red with ribbed tanned leather sets, think in was the GTV 2.0 and always looked great and seemed pretty reliable.

I have had 4 alfas and no real problem with any of them, the 2.2 is not a great engineer for certain but as I said its about looking good rather than racing around.

I would have another 2.2 LE spider but I have gown to like the zed - was always one of my favourite cars before I bought :D

Fortunately, Alfa build quality was so bad that they tended to fall apart when you drove into something, as happened to me (in the passenger seat) in this Cloverleaf 164.

Good job really, if it had stayed in one piece, I’d certainly have been a goner.

Thats bloody bad - hopefully I would never have to experience that - cant imagine they would get away with it now based on Euro N cap rating system :!:
