Capri spotting

Did a lovely 50k around the 'Groene Hart' of Holland today and spotted some nice motors.
Managed to snap a lovely looking Capri on the other side of the canal as well as a zed with what looked suspiciously like a 'Oregon beige' or sand-coloured hood.
Can anyone verify if this was an option?

Looks like a pleasant day out.

I spotted the Capri straight away - but then I had a couple of 2.8is back in the 80s. :lol:

I was more surprised to see a lock on the canal - I didn't know they needed them in the Netherlands! :roll:

Anyway, I just had a look at the BMW brochure I got for the 3.0Si and it seems the hood was Black as standard. But Grey and Dark Beige were no cost options so maybe that one has Dark Beige - it doesn't look very dark in the brochure.

Those pepperpot alloys are so classy.
I'd love to have a Capri in the garage as my dad had one at one point! Always liked it.

The pepperpot wheels do look great, but they are only 13s - so you soon learn about brake fade if you drive it as intended!

I'd quite like one now, but I'd have to sell my E86 and as good as a Capri is I know which I'd rather drive. :lol:

Me too - my Capris followed on from a MK2 Escort RS2000, which is the car I should have kept. :roll: (Apologies for the photo quality - it's a scan from a print).

Had the Mk1 and Mk2 , always wanted the Mk3 but had to be 2.0 laser or preferably the 3.0S. Still like one today... but the prices!!!!!!!

Couldn't resist this thread! Had a Mk3 3.0S when I was 23. It was 5 years old with around 30,000 miles on the clock. Bought from my Grandad (yes really!) who had it from new. It's the same model as in this picture but mine was forest green metallic. Had fishnet recaro's, factory tilt and slide sunroof, a Blaupunkt stereo and of course those lovely RS alloys. Oh those were the days!!

Wish I still had it, wish I could afford to buy one the same but the prices are getting crazier all the time. Having said that the Z is a much much better car!

Spotted these ones at Silverstone Classic last Sunday.
My Dad had several Capri's including an RS3100, which I think he wishes he had kept in view of their current values.

Apart from...say..Amanda Holden’s feet....then a bit of toe sucking is fine if she wished.... :drool: ......but a great scouse wazzocks feet....?? Fucks sake....

They must spend the rest of the year hidden away in garages - I can't remember the last time I saw one being driven on the road.
