Capello quits

I'm still in shock he's not behind bars tonight ...nothing to do with tax issues. I'm a Gooner, just wishful thinking that's all :censored:

II'm glad to see the back of him he was terrible during the world cup and have always felt it should be an Englishman regardless of performance. The England job should be about a nations pride not just a contract for a manager... it just was not working with him. I think if harry has any "sense" :? he will do something solid with spurs 1st he really needs to prove himself as a winner not runner up

who is Capello?

does he have a coupe or a roadster?

I don't like football and even I know that he drives a coupe, I mean just look at his shifty eyes :D

The press had him locked up yesterday...come to think of it managing England may be a worse punishment :poke:

If Bing is there that comment is for last sat Saturday :D

I saw a interview with Harry and he definitely stated that he would like the job, maybe not so soon though , should be interesting, iam sure we will end up with a 3rd choice again .He would be a fool to turn down a once in a life time opportunity. And lets face it ,how much real loyalty has he got with spurs....

is this anything to do with elvis capello and the attractions, is the band breaking up?

Harry could/should take it on temporarily until the Euro finals in the summer. If they don't win he can go back to Spurs and get on with his life, and if they do win he should do the same, as he won't win anything twice.

put your claws away boys and girls! Look what Harry did with Portsmouth (and lets face it, as far as international football is concerned England equate to Portsmouth). Take any premiership team, limit their budget and see which one can get to third in the premiership. Could Ferguson do it on a budget? Why are City in first place? Is that just purely because of the managers ability? Where are Chelsea this season thanks to all their money?
I always hoped Spurs would get a manager like Harry, England would be damned lucky to get him but with the useless prima donnas who call themselves top flight english footballers but have bugger all spine and no work ethic being chosen to play, even for Harry the England job may be a poison chalice.
For my two penneth, give the england players roles to championship players, they'd act like it was an honour to be chosen and play to prove they were worth it.
The england football team are a direct reflection on our country, in general full of uncommitted lazy toe rags who think they deserve something they aren't prepared to earn. We dream about being great but we haven't got the guts and determination to really succeed and when i watch a team from some so called third world country come out and play as if they were heroes with one chance to shine it makes me well up with pride for them and sadness that we just don't get the point.
At this point in time i don't think harry will salvage england and if he went spurs would lose all they have gained recently. Capello must be laughing all the way to the bank; he's got out without the shame of leading england to an ignominious dumping from the competition. Nothing i have seen shows that the team want to play for him, in fact using the word team is a tad strong.
Wow, rant over - sorry everyone

I take solice in the fact that whilst we may as well just of handed the Calcutta Cup over at kick-off and then gone to the pub, England's rugby team's deficiencies will be severely punished by everyone else apart from the Italians. Which is a great link back to Capello, however I know nothing about football whatsoever, so in typical Scottish style I'll fail to finish the move and retire from the conversation :P
