Canyon strive es9 2012 mountain bike £2000

For sale is my 2012 canyon strive es9 all mountain bike. Medium size frame. Its in good condition and well looked after always kept indoors and always cleaned/lubed after a ride. Comes with all receipts and manuals. This is a crazy high spec bike with highlights like the hammerschmidt crank, reverb seat post, crank brothers iodine wheels, fox 36 talas forks, fox rpc boost valve shock. There is a full spec list in the link at the bottom. No silly offers as this was nearly £3000 at the end of 2012 and has only been ridden around 10 times.

I'm so sorry, this is a £700 bike now. Max

If it was in a much larger frame size I'd be reasonably interested.

£700. Not likely. I have found 2 others for sale on the internet. One is for £2000 the other is for £1800. I could strip it an sell the forks and shock alone for more than £700.

Just because that's the 'for sale price' doesn't mean that's what they will sell finally for. You might get more if you strip it down and sell the components separately on eBay but as a complete bike that retailed for almost £3000 nearly 2 years ago you will do really well to get more than £1250 IMHO. You have to take in account original VAT, profit and the fact it's now second hand and manufacturer's warranty not transferable despite only been used 10 times. Some potential buyers might even question why you wish to sell after such infrequent use and conclude that the bike isn't a good ride. Retailers will be discounting brand new bikes from the 2013 range up to 33% now just to enable them to bring in the latest models.

GLWTS as Andy would say.
