My 2007 E86 is factory fitted with the Professional DVD based Sat Nav. When its guiding me to a destination and the navi is doing its stuff and saying "turn next left", "do u turn", etc etc...I can hear it fine and can also adjust its volume up/down.
The problem is when the radio or CD is on at the same time as the navi, I can hear the navi attempting to quieten the radio/cd but it doesnt quieten it enough and the navi gets drowned out by the radio/cd audio so i cant hear what its saying.
If I turn the volume down of the radio/cd, it also turns the navi voice down too so that doesnt work. Turning up the volume at the point when the navi is saying something also increases the volume of the radio/cd audio so still have same issue.
The result is if want to hear the navigation directions, I have to do it with the radio and cd off. Seems a bit crap.
Was wondering if those of you who have a factory sat nav experience the same, or perhaps the volume offset is something that is codable by the dealer.
