Sup all.

Sorry I know this was posted up recently but I can't find it.

How do you bridge the rear lights on an e85 so they both light up under breaking. Effectively giving it the abs breaking lights constantly.

You don't - It's a "codeable" option in the LCM (lighting control module) called "donut rear lights"

Pretty sure you can't do this by wiring as the tail lights are a 6V feed, with the brake just upping the voltage to 12V. So coding with Carly or NCS needed (not sure if its a SSS option). Assume ISTA-P would be able to do it too.

The problem with doing that, is you are doubling the load on the switching transistors in the LCM... The two halves of the lamp have their own individual circuits within the LCM, so coding it means they are both supplied by their respective circuits, rather than the same one.

Silly me, of course you could just take the feed and run them both off the outer. I wouldn't though, the LCM is an expensive bit of kit to blow when the coding option is there.

Have you tried to get the flashing third brake light working for BFD with full circle mod yet Mike?
