I've got a project in mind which involves drilling or cutting into the downward facing panel right under the climate controls. Basically the panel that usually seems to be used to fit the AUX connector. It's my preferred trim panel to use as it's easily removeable, and since it's downward facing whatever I want to install behind it won't be very obvious.
Now, just in case I mess up for some reason, I thought it would be a good idea to get a spare. So I've tried finding the damned panel on RealOEM, but all I can find seems to be the panel with the cutout for the AUX connector already present. Can't seem to find the original style panel part number. The replacement panel with AUX cutout should be number 3 in the diagram at this link: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=BT31-EUR-10-2004-E85-BMW-Z4_25i&diagId=51_4949.
Can anyone confirm if part number 51459128397 is what I need, or if I'm wrong and my assumption that it already has the cutout in place is correct?
Thanks!
