Can't belive it another dent!

Noticed a couple of dents just behind the front wheel arch on the drivers side, inside the flame surfacing that creates a triangle shape in front of the door.

I can only think its someone kicking it of a shopping trolly at that height, this is only 3 weeks after getting dents in the near side door fixed. Getting really fed up with other people's carelessness or maliciousness. :x

Big sympathy man,Im still reelin about my two 50p sized little presents above my rear wheel collected at Glasgow Airport multi-storey....

Which just gets worse as the dentmaster guy thinks it's a double skinned area.....and the paint is grazed...

Hang em high, at least I will if I catch anyone else up to these little tricks

I had a problem in that area which the dealer agreed to fix just after I got mine - you're right it is a double skinned area and so the quick fix guys couldn't do it. However, the bodyshop could (they had to remove the door - but did it without any re-painting - just getting better access).

 One of life's real downers is to find some t##t has carelessly dinged your car. Hope it gets sorted without too much pain.

Feel for you mate this is why i am very lucky i hardly ever have to use car parks unlike my poor mum the amount of times she has had her bumper resprayed only for some waste of space to scrape it when driving out of parking space :x :x hope you can get it sorted

Yes - sorry, I meant to say, that really sucks. In fact, these little things annoy me much more than bigger damage that just needs to get fixed.

I had the pleasure of watching someone revierse into my wife's car last weekend! ARGH!

Hope you find someone that can fix it at a reasonable cost.

Same as Gaza... I hardly ever use car parks. I'm VERY OCD about where I park my car though.

I park in a side street in town, so no-one can ding me.
If I'm going somewhere I've not been before, I go on Google Maps and find the parking space I want, then set off early so I can get it.
I'm happy to walk for as long as I have to, to be parked away from everyone.
I scoped out Cribbs Causeway so well, that I know if I get there relatively early, I will get the exact same space I always get, where you can't park next to anyone.
I don't take the car in Multi-storey car parks, for fear of grounding.

And last of all... If in doubt, leave it at home and take the Corsa!

since I had my car I have had a couple of dents from careless TW4TS in crap cars that don’t care about anyone else’s car... the thing that really boils my piss is when I park in a car park at work or at a shop and I pick the space furthest away with not even a tyre track in sight. Aside from my girlfriend moaning that ‘’you could park closer’’ you always find some idiot has parked right next to you.

I live near a massive Tesco with thousands of parking spaces; I park away from everyone all the time and have had 2 dents since I got the car. Why can’t people just open the door carefully, or if they are too fat to get out without opening the door on to mine then park where no one else is!!!! :headbang: :headbang: rant over

£50 quid a panel is what I was quoted to get it fixed... is this about right?

Sounds about right, i paid £57.50 Including the vat and I was pleased with the job.

For anyone living in the Milton Keynes/Bedford area I know a great dent guy. Dents in double skinned areas haven't put him off in the past :)

Think this is the unluckiest car I`ve had regarding the body. Only had it a short time but already someone has scraped it which I haven`t had sorted yet and yesterday while washing it I noticed two fresh deep chips on the passenger side front pillar - I heard a loud clang last week as something came up from the road from a car ahead. I checked the glass afterwards and all was okay but I didn`t notice the paint chips.Paint stick on order........

:headbang: Gutter. i hate it when you find stuff like that, its all of these little bumps and scrapes that add up to a big body shop bill

Thanks for the sympathy guys, and my sympathy to those that have experianced the same. I never had this much trouble with other cars. The guy that repaired my car last time is having a look tomorrow to see what can be done. I'm a little worried as there are two small dent/creases just above the sill area (the platic skirt) and am thinking it may not be possible to push out being so close to the edge? Also worried if it's a double skinned area with ne access?

I do my utmost to be as carefull where I park as possible but as this is my only car I have to use work/supermarket car parks etc. Makes you want to fit cameras to your car to get registration numbers of the tw&ts that do this kind of thing and send them the bill.

As I feared the dents can't be removed by the paintless dent repair man so i now have to look into costs of repair and re spray. NOT HAPPY :x

ARGH - so yesterday, parked in a hospital car park while my wife was having an operation - some low life scrapes the bumper on our 3 series - really screws it up. No sign of a note, and I don't think CCTV will catch it either. ARGH It'll be a full repray job for the bumper - at least other damage from people backing into it can be sorted now.

Mason - I'm not sure how bad yours is, but as I mentioned above, a proper bodyshop may be able to fix without painting what a quick repair guy can't. I had 3 quick repair guys look at my Z4 and they all said that a fix wasn't possible without painting etc. The BMW bodyshop sorted it without resorting to that - they simply had to remove the door to get better access to the area for better leverage.

Yes that read a little harsh 2nd time round - Sorry mate, Im just saying I dont think I'd leave my car with what looked like foam pipe insulation down the side..... I'll take the end of the carpark thats all......
