Cant believe the price drops

Maybe if there hadnt been so many 'must sell because of ****** ' so really low price, then prices might have held up more.
I don't necessarily think it being highlighted all the time helps either.
The car above when £16950 was well worth it I reckon, and anyone seriously looking would have probably paid that if the desperation sellers were not around.

Then again I may be talking sh*te :)

Sytners must think they will sell it for £19850 too - or thereabouts. A search of BMW AUC nationally shows only 2 Z4MC's for sale and they are both @ Sytners.

the car that went to sytners was being offloaded due to the owner buying a cayman R, khooni's a regular poster on the pistonheads porsche forum where i've hung around for the last few years of 911 ownership.

i susupect he sold to sytner's direct for one of two reasons, no-one's buying or he was inundated with unrealistic offers.

i'm still looking but i'm waiting for the right spec to turn up, but, in all honesty i'm looking for a sub 35k mile car, full history with all the toys. i don't want to piss on anyones chips but i wouldn't pay more than £14k for a private sale, depending on spec/mileage/history & most importantly condition i may even offer less.

...and of course with all the bad news in the last few days about the Eurozone, it will only get worse....not that theres much further to go surely? :(

The one at Sytners is up for £17850 and looks different to the one on pistonheads. Or am i missing something? :?

COULD THIS BE THE REASON FOR THE PRICE DROPS -

I would like to point out my roadster has a higher spec than that and 1000 less miles.

But I doubt I would get anywhere near that.

I doubt it, as there's always been the M-Sport / M-Technic range of BMW models anyway.

BMW are just diluting the ///M pedigree by putting it on everything from diesels to shopping trollies

As I said a few year's back, when I bought the Z4MC, this car would be my last ///M, as there's no nothing to differentiate the 'sport' offering from BMW to the offerings from Jag, Mercedes, Audi, etc.

mmm-five is your car for sale? i see the link to the ad on mmm-five net, but not on pistonheads?

eta just seen the mileage, a little too high for what i was wanting unfortunatly. :(

lovely looking car though, they do look stunning in the dark colours don't they?

When I looked yesterday there were 2 silver Z4MC's for sale through Sytners - one @ £17850 and the other @ £19850 although it was "coming soon" and it was definitely khoonis as the reg number was the same hence my post. Presumably it has either sold already or has been removed from the website for other reasons :x

It was up for sale in the middle of last year, but I took it off when work picked up again - and enjoyed two trips to the 'Ring in it in July & October.

Unfortunately the promise of continuous work (supposed to have been almost 2 year's work) has failed to materialise, so if the next phase of work I was promised doesn't turn up soon, then it may be back up for sale.

However, as you've mentioned, the mileage is over what you really want anyway - although the asking price on the website is from October, with 2000 less miles. Still got to amend the for sale page, but I'm open to offers.

Still needs it's New Year detail/correction too.

I've not read this whole thread, but I've just sold my Z4M for £13,500. 34,000 miles, full BMW service history, but now due an oil service. New tyres, garaged and immaculate. Sold it for the asking price.

It's simple supply and demand though really. That coupled with the likelihood that there are people out there with these cars who are finding themselves stretched, and having to sell to get out of ownership at whatever the cost.

There is not the money around that there was, and the Z is very niche. Then you have the time of year, which is always slow for roadster sales etc.

I would say you haven't seen the half of it. The EZ is in a very bad way, and is likely to get much, much worse yet...

Interesting enough though, all my European based business is increasing at a huge rate. It is really a case that sound companies are working very well at the moment, whilst weak companies are failing.

Really dont understand the pricing, as the other silver one listed is the same reg, priced 2k less, and has much better spec. Ok it has more miles on it but still well below average for its age.

Or you can have this 07 car for "cough", "cough" £21,495 admittedly with only 10k miles.

A poverty spec car too with no obvious optional extras at all
