God bless all that have been affected by the big C. Me & a few mates are doing a self funded 1k mile cycle over 9 days in August & raising £10k for Macmillan - hoping it will make a difference.

My mother had a brain tumour which she thankfully recovered from & within weeks was diagnosed with breast cancer - again recovered but massive motivation for me to get my ass fit for the ride ;-)

My wife’s Dad is going through this nightmare at the moment! Cancer of the pancreas last hear. Had an operation that took most of that area away, chemo and started to recover. Going quite well to full recovery actually! Then got cramps in stomach around 2 months ago. Had a scan and it's back in the stomach and liver! Doc's suggested chemo again but advised it could put him in a lot of pain and will just be prolonging the inevitable outcome. He's decided to stop the chemo. Living a day at a time now. Great guy as well and has never harmed anyone or smoked or drank to access and looked after himself! He suffers from Type A diabetes though.
