You need some snow! Watching now.

The Opening Ceremonies.....
Just one problem, I've lived here for 45 years and have only seen crazed fiddlers in movies about the maritimes and our natives are holed up in reservations until some govt wants to sober them up and parade them around. No wonder the rest of the world thinks we live in igloos, ride on dog sleds and fight bears over the salmon to eat for supper :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: .

And the tickets to see that show are $500 a seat.

Please bring on the real show , the athletes and the games....... and kick the politicians out before they try to grab any more glory. They don't pay for it, they don't train for it, they don't compete for it and they certainly don't earn it.

I am a former competitor in an "Olympic Game Plan Sport" and I quit because of all the political BS and meddling . I moved to a different sport that has no affiliation with the Olympics or the politicians that try to run the sport in Canada.

The only performance worth the price of admission....

KD Lang

I'm not kidding. Putting aside all the gender stuff, she was born with an incredible instrument.

Fairly amazing special effects.

Never been to the left coast only to Quebec so thats how I think of Canada. Nova Scotia lads come here for dory boat racing and the Bluenose comes and races local schooners and provides the city's Christmas tree every year. I never think of Canada as anything but great.

That's my point, Canada is great and it is very very big and has a lot to offer. Much more than some Natives doing the same tired tourist dances and some fiddlers from the East coast.
KD Lang is great, so is Bryan Adams, Nellie Furtado, Nickelback etc. etc. The list goes on.

When others see this show they will go" Ooh, aah",
When most Canadians see this they go "Oh NO, Not this crap again." and leave the room saying " Tell me when the good stuff is on".

IMO
