Hey all

So I'll be buying a z4 coupe soonish, - and there's one I like, but it has no heated seats.

question is if I bought z4 heated seats with the dash module, is it literally plug and play - and would the heated seats work - or is there likely to missing wiring looms etc?

The z4 seats I've seen on ebay - come with the dashboard control panel. - I'm i likely to get more issues etc - replacing as there's also the DTC button on the same panel...

No you need to wire them in which is a pain, but a few members have done it, use the search and find a 'how to'

I think early cars ( roadsters ) do have the wiring but as the coupes were post 2006 they probably don’t . You can always check by the number of wires into the connector under the existing seat if you own the car already.

The wiring won't be there in a coupe, but not too difficult to retrofit. I think the hardest part to source is going to be a control panel without the roadster roof buttons as there are obviously a lot more of those about in breakers.

My first Coupe had them - I think I might have used them twice in 2 years.

Albeit partly because I used my daily when there was a risk of ice on the roads, as I put winter tyres on it but not my Z4.

I have heated seats in the Zed, the family bus and my van and I use them all the time.. Seats on max and aircon on cold, can't beat it..

Cool, yeh sounds like it’ll probably be more bother I’d expect. Will check how to section.

Yeh use heated seats all the time in the 350z I had during winter.

heated seats are a complete and utter waste of time and a complete waste of money if you were the first owner.....speaking from experience and a very light wallet :headbang:

I would never manage to get my other half in any car without heated seats during the Winter months. Working on the basis that ‘a happy wife means a happy life’ my cars always have heated seats.
