Can your Z4MC take full throttle in 2nd?

:) Can you share your geo? I am having Eibachs fitted next week and am going for 0.10 toe front and back..

Sure... I forgot to say I also have Eibach's :)

Here is mine from when I fitted the Eibach's back in 2013. It's since had a suspension refresh, but more or less the same settings were reapplied. Feels much sharper to drive now, standard toe settings are horrible!

Thanks a lot, much appreciated  :driving:

This is very close to what I'm running and it is planted. Lose the toe FTW!

First time I did this in mine with the traction off I scared myself silly back end swung round to the right and the car rocketed up the road sideways :D

Mine can take full throttle in 2nd with no wheel spin. Enough torque to rip your face off, but no wheel spin...

Hey, Adamski - thought you had sold your Zed?

Correct, I've sold it - it just hasn't been collected yet...

She hasn't had full throttle in 2nd gear for a while

Now must be the time to do it then! 8)

Ah, right - had a Lazarus moment seeing you back again :)

I get the DSC light flashing on full throttle in 3rd - haven't yet mustered the courage to turn off the DSC in "normal" driving. Standard suspension and alignment and Contis. I have a set of KW V3 on the way; curious what effect they will have. In general I am surprised how often the DSC light flashes and how easy it is to get the ABS to kick in when it's damp. As fun as the car is to drive it seems much more challenged for grip than my M5.

Just drove mine on a damp road with semislick tyres and DSC off - it easily span up the rears in second at any rpm. I then swapped to my CSLs fitted with PSS and found some dry Tarmac. This time it would only spin up the rears in second if I deliberately provoked it. On wet Tarmac from a standing start even the PSS were spinning up as I changed to second under full throttle.

Yes no problem. In the dry with warm tyres, it take it in 1st pretty much wide open, provided you are don't light them up with the clutch.

With warm F1 Assymetric 2s, it will just about take full throttle in 2nd in the wet without DSC, on a very good surface. If you have any lock on or hit a white line / drain cover, you will have to correct it.

OP, it maybe that the side wall on your rear tyres are starting to collapse. I just had this with a C63, one side wall was only a few miles from blowing out. It was all over the place.

Or perhaps it can't put the power down because the suspension on the ///MR is set up for wafting and coiffuring not racing :poke:

Nope, I think you've got your logic messed up there. It's obvious that the coupé is set up for wafting and coiffuring as a race car would be able to get the power down  :P

Bugger! I misread Adam's post - I thought he said his roadster spins its wheels in second. Sunday afternoon dopiness....

Yes, no problems 1st and 2nd gear.

I have vreds on my car.

I can do wide open in 2nd in the rain too... As long as I don't just stamp on the peddle.

Been back to try again and that nice new surface has been tar and chipped (won't use that road again for a few months) so guessing the previous surface was just lacking in grip. Tests on other surfaces show it can take full power in 2nd with half worn continentals, though not in the wet, and the rear likes to follow cambers if you have DSC off and the road isn't flat :D
