Can you fold electric mirrors by hand?

Just a quick question, my Z4 (2003 3.0i) is sleeping this winter and the battery is removed.

I just forgot to fold the mirrors and my winter cover wont fit so good now. Does anyone know will folding the electir mirrors by hand harm the mirror mechanics?

it wont do any damage, i was pushing mine in for months, i didnt realise that they were electric

You can it's part of the design invade they're clipped etc
