Coming up the Motorway today and saw what I thought was a TT in front, realised it was a Peugeot and weirdly I really liked it.

What do People think? It reminds me of a TT most obviously but also, the rear end is like a 1970's Karmann Ghia I had once

It's French, it will lose money faster than Mr Loser on a losing streak and door handles will come off in your hand. Apart from that, it looks nice!

yup, TT with a nappy on...
You can so tell that the marketers at Peugeot said "We need something to compete in the TT market... make it look like a TT, but change some stuff"

Rear end looks like a TT, front looks like every other Peugeot.......and its too slow

........oh and you could buy a mint 18 month old Z4 3.0si for the same money.....duh

It's had some good reviews but in the end it's a French steal on a TT. It ain't cheap either so if I had to buy a Frenchie I'd rather spend the money on a new Renaultsport Megane R26 thingy, in black or white with those really nice alloys...

I'll be contrary though and say I rather like it. 200hp from a 1.6 fwd makes it very like the Cooper S and that's a howl to drive.

I used to have a 206GTi and it took a lot of car to keep up, so have no doubt a 3.0 Zed would have to work very hard to follow this down the twisty stuff.

Price is competitive although first owner is going to hate the depreciation
Would I buy one - no, but I'll take a look as Peugeot is only 2 miles down the road

I'm with Phil.. I don't like TT's at all but I like that

I'm bias as I already own a Pug, but I own it because it's great to drive and after the residual hit they are great value for money.

Reliability isn't a major concern, it's just that they overcomplicate everything.

If I saw one in traffic I'd have a lot more respect for it than a TT.

At the end of the day its still a Peugeot. It will be a bargain buy in a couple years at around 10k but i'd much prefer the new Hyundai Genesis if they ever make it.

Not to bad.

Its very TT looking but then thats worse than looking like some other cars on the road. The press have given it a luke warm thumbs up i hear, saying its a good drive but that the competition is so damn good it would never beat them unless you/peugeot had spent more money on it. No suprises there then.

That Hyundai un1leash, was that the one that was going to have rwd and an impreza engine?
