Can someone in the Midlands help?.. Registering a new battery

Funnily enough I replaced my battery today. I got a deal on a 019 size battery making it cheaper than a like for like replacement. It's quite a bit larger but still fits.
Original - 760cca 70mAh AGM
019 size - 780cca 110mAh Calcium

I coded it in through ista-d and came across some interesting information. The original battery was an AGM type, which the alternator charges at 14.7V. Calcium batteries charged at this voltage can boil. When coded correctly, the car will charge a calcium battery at 14.4V.
I also changed the mAh to from 70 to 110.

How did you get the bigger battery to seat properly ?

There a welded lug in my boot that stops a battery bigger than 80ah sitting properly?

By the way it’s 70ah not 70mah..that would struggle to turn the starter

You're absolutely right - my mistake on mAh/Ah! I usually dabble with smaller electronics.

The battery bay in my 2010 35i has a bar across to top of the battery and a plastic corner brace at the bottom right (when looking at the battery from the top).
I removed the corner brace and replaced it with a bolt and large washer. The top bar fits as normal.

I just thought, Rob, that, like R.E92, I'd write something most people don't understand.

Sorry, I'll post something controversial about tyre pressures or a blog entry about my cars first aid kit to balance out the useful information here.

Ah in my battery bay there is as you described those attributes but I also have an addititional small welded bracket in the bottom of the bay that stops the battery sitting flush with the bottom by about 5mm?
