Can I use Hammerite to paint the brake calipers?

I'm kind of staggered that anyone would pay someone else to do this, It has to be the easiest mod ever. (not sure i'd even class it as a mod) If you are really lazy then the wheels don't need to come off to do it if you have certain wheels.

Easier said than done. I don't have a trolley jack, been told not to do it with the wheels on as that's a crap job....so while my bumper was being done, the booked took all the wheels off...

even working on minimum wage, that's 3 hours' work. so, unless you're paid minimum wage or can do a proper job in a very short period of time, i'd say that's a bargain... :)

There is a huge difference between spraying paint from a rattle can onto dirty callipers still mounted to the car and a full disassembly, cleaning and professional paint job.

The brake pads (11), clips(9) and calliper (1) move on the brake carrier (2). I'd be worried about paint getting into the slots there and causing parts to bind. The spring clips might get stuck to various parts too. I'd also be worried about paint making the bolts (3) hard to remove.

Without disassembly and cleaning, I'd also be worried about paint not sticking where it is supposed to. Anyone not comfortable taking things apart and doing the job right should probably pay to have it done.

If we keep our car past the two year contract, I'll probably get the brake carrier powder coated black. I keep the callipers clean. Don't plan on painting them.

I am just glad that on the M, they are nicely black coated and still look like new unlike the unpainted once they put on the rest of the series.

Use it all the time can get white, gold, red, black, silver, blue, yellow.
You could change every year!!!
