Can I lift my Z4?

Moved my 2003 Z4 2.5L to a new home in AZ. I've got a small curb at the bottom of the driveway. If I drive in or out of the driveway carefully I have about 3/4 of an inch clearance for the front trim - max. Also - the speed bumps here are killer. I'm waiting to leave parts behind.

Anyone here had this issue? Two shops I called said that lifting the car with shock strut spacers would make alignment impossible and they wouldn't recommend that fix.

Thoughts? Recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Not sure about the 2.5 but 3.0 cars of that age had the MSport suspension as standard which is 15mm lower than standard. So put normal springs on it and with no other changes you'll lift it by 15mm.

I suppose a car of that age could have some set in the springs causing it to sit lower. I wonder if simply replacing the springs would help any. If you have the sport package going to standard shocks/springs would probably raise the car about an inch.
