'Can holder' a fake?

I have them, don't like them. Heavy drinks seem like they will overload the holder. Tall drinks seem insecure. Too easy to hit them with my knee getting in and out, and then they will break easily, and the sharp corners really hurt. Lots of others are quite pleased with them, YMMV. I would recommend trying to find a car that has them and examining before purchasing for your own.

I have them and think they are pointless, and to be really boring it is illegal to drink while driving so what purpose do they serve

From a different perspective I fitted them and think they are really good. Hold any size cup or bottle and fold neatly out of the way when not in use. I hate aftermarket transmission mounted holders.

Each to their own of course.

Nothing like sticking a maccies coke in there, clamping it shut and having it burst open and fling a drink at you at the first corner out of the drive through :thumbsdown:

I have them in mine, personally I wouldnt bother spending the money on them as I hardly use mine, they are made to hold HUGE cups!!!! A can for example would not fit safely in the cup holder!

You do realise that the "arm" of the cupholder is on a ratchet and you can adjust it to fit whatever size of cup (or can) you have in there?

Just to be clear on the adjustment. For a can, easy - just drop the can in and squeeze the jaws closed.
For wedge shape coffee cups, squeeze the jaw in a few clicks to the point the cup can be gently pressed in place and it's firmly gripped. If you do it too much close the holder and start again. Too little lift in and add another click.

Never had an issue with a wobbly drink after years of using them.
