Can BMCables blue OBD2 cable be used on E89

I have a BMCables blue OBD2 cable and software that I bought to use on my E85, can the cable or software be used on a E89?
 
E89 needs DCAN. Most cables on eBay will claim they support DCAN but won't.

Get a cable-shack K+DCAN cable from eBay. This one will work; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-USB-OBD-K-Dcan-Diagnostic-Cable-Switched-UK-INPA-DIS-SSS-NCS-Coding-/271796230565
Those are always great quality in my experience. The compatibility list doesn't state E89 but that is just an omission.

That cable you have will be KLine only for the E85 if it's the same as the E46 platform.

Thanks for the link, I will probably buy this.

Looks like the BMCables + software is another item I need to sell.
 
Not sure it would be worth selling. The interface cables for KLine cars are £10 new on eBay and the software is widely available for free.

You never know when you might need to use the old cable for something. Very handy to keep around.

Will this allow diagnostic, some error rectification and coding similar to E85/86?

Will this allow diagnostic, some error rectification and coding similar to E85/86?

Will allow all that and also complete coding of any module in your car. It's an all-in-one solution!
