Can Auto Lights/Wipers be Added as a Retrofit?

Like most people on here I seem to have caught a case of the modding bug.
The latest itch is to try and retrofit auto lights and wipers & I wondered if anybody on herehad attempted this.
I realise that a new wiper control stalk and a new LCM switch will be needed to get the "auto" switch position, but I am looking for clues as to what else will be required.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Ian.

I wouldn't if I was you - I HATE them. I'm too much of a control freak and find the wipers in particular are crap. I'd much rather have a normal intermittent option that I could vary myself without the sensor. Plus I run with lights on probably before the majority of folk on the road do as I think the auto lights sensor kicks the lights on not soon enough.

x2, a lot of trouble and expense. You will need a new rear view mirror set up with the rain sensor and not sure if the standard screen has the relevant blacked out section which matches the rain sensor fitting. Replacement switch unit about £200 (ouch!)

Ouch! indeed.......it seems that this was a £75 option when the car was new, but a major expense as a retrofit. Not like the cruse control plug and play mod. OK......it's looking like I may have to find something else to keep me occupied in the garage.
