Can anyone recommened a sound system setup?

Going to replace my sound system in my Z4 currently it's a stock system. What would people recommend? I defiantly want subs but not sure what gear is best / will fit. Got a budget of about £500 - £750

And if anyone could recommend a shop that fits in stockport / manchester area would be helpful! I know of a few but don't know how good they are.
 
It's just the standard one so 6 speakers business cd, I checked the original order for it. (No hifi upgrades)
It did have a cd changer at one point this has since been removed and an ipod cable put in.
